Wicklow Cardiac First Responders

Wicklow Cardiac First Responders took the F.A.S.T. message right to the top of Lugnaquilla on Saturday 3rd July. They distributed F.A.S.T. info to the walkers they met along the way their 925 meter climb.

As part of their activities the Wicklow Cardiac First Responders have held information nights in Arklow and Ballitore, where they taught all present stroke recognition using F.A.S.T. They also distributed F.A.S.T. wallet cards and posters to everyone, asking them to help create awareness among their friends and families.

Two more information nights are planned before the end of the summer in Rathdangan and Eadstown, a bag pack in Dunnes Stores, Blessington in August, as well as a stand at the Wicklow County Show (Tinahely Agricultural Show) on August 2nd.

They have also been upskilling their 450 Responders and distributed F.A.S.T. material to them all so they can also spread the 'act F.A.S.T. for stroke' message.
