Stroke Support

Stroke support groups are local groups for those affected by stroke.


They provide a meeting place for people affected by stroke and their carers to come together and share their experiences.  People in the group can discuss problems they may have had and how they overcame them, giving other people a chance to use the same techniques to overcome their problem

The groups provide information, raise awareness and offer support and advice on stroke.  Some also offer activity programmes and services.

If you are interested in setting up a stroke support group in your area please contact the Irish Heart Foundation for help.  If you run or attend a stroke support group and would like to add it to this list please contact us at advocacy@irishheart.ie or phone 01 668 5001. Stroke support groups are a fantastic way to meet others and pool information.
