Stroke Awards
The Irish Heart Foundation will hold the first annual Life after Stroke Awards in 2010 and we are taking your nominations now!
Stroke is a traumatic and sometimes life changing event that has a huge impact on those affected and their family and friends. Stroke survivors show immense courage and determination to defeat the effects of stroke, as well as great patience and persistence in overcoming disabilities and relearning old skills.
We would like to formally recognise the strength and courage of stroke survivors and their carers through a Life after Stroke awards ceremony and gala night.
These awards will celebrate the achievements of those affected by stroke. The awards will also recognise the hard work and dedication of their families and carers.
Please contact us to nominate someone who deserves to be recognised for their courage and willpower to overcome the effects of stroke.
You can also nominate carers who give their time, compassion and support to helping others rebuild their lives.

This award is presented to a stroke support group that can demonstrate the difference it makes to the quality of life of stroke survivors in their local area through its varied and innovative activity programs, delivered by outstanding organisers and volunteers
6) Excellence in Stroke Care Award
Stroke care comes in many forms and from many different people. These include Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language therapists and Community and Social Workers. This award recognises their excellent work in the provision of stroke care and those who daily operate above and beyond the call of duty with no thought of personal reward.
