Stroke is also an issue for our whole community. Stroke kills more than 2,000 people a year in Ireland – a higher death toll than from breast cancer, lung cancer and bowel cancer combined. It is also the biggest cause of acquired disability.

I am particularly interested in what you are doing to ensure that anyone who has a stroke can get to hospital quickly and receives the services they need to save their lives and prevent them acquiring a disability.
