Ireland's National Stroke Week, will take place from the 16th-20th of April, 2012
Stroke is the third biggest killer in Ireland and over 10,000 people have a stroke in Ireland each year. Stroke
kills nearly 2 millions brain cells every minute so hundreds of lives could be saved each year if more people knew that stoke is a medical emergency.
The Irish Heart Foundation wants to educate the public on the signs of stroke so they can Act F.A.S.T and save someone's life.
This years National Stroke Week will focus on spreading the F.A.S.T. message to every corner of Ireland. But we need your help, we need you to run a F.A.S.T. campaign in your work, school or your community to teach the public the signs of stroke.
Many groups have run F.A.S.T. campaigns since the campaign started in 2010 so this year we need even MORE to sign up and spread the message. Remember you could save someone's life!
You can order your FREE F.A.S.T. pack including our Guide to Running a Local F.A.S.T. Campaign by emailing Sarah Horgan, shorgan@irishheart.ie or by calling 01 6346925.
