Vote for Thinking Ahead - national campaign for neurological care
The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI), the national umbrella of neurological charities, is asking the next government to protect neurological care. The Irish Heart Foundation is a member of the NAI.
Neurological conditions affect over 700,000 people in Ireland and include conditions such as stroke and multiple sclerosis.
Neurological Care refers to the essential services both in the hospital and the community that support people with neurological conditions and their families.
Make your vote count
With a general election looming, the NAI is urging all political parties to protect neurological care.
Canvassing will soon begin for the 2011 general election. You can help support the national campaign for neurological care when candidates call to your door by asking them these three questions:
- If elected, will your political party protect neurological care?
- How will your party work to improve neurological care during your time in office?
- What will your party do to protect funding for the charities that are vital to supporting people with neurological conditions and their families?
Download a leaflet including the questions to ask canvassers.
