  • Are you worried about a family member or friend who is at risk of stroke?
  • Have you questions about treatments for stroke?
  • Have you questions about medications for people affected by stroke?
  • Would you like to know about rehabilitation after suffering a stroke?
  • Are you worried or confused about information from your GP or specialist?
  • Do you have questions about counselling for someone affected by stroke?

Our Stroke Helpline nurses can help answer your questions you may have, and can give you guidance and reassurance regarding stroke prevention and stroke recovery in Ireland.  They can add to the information you have received from your doctor and clarify any queries you have.

In 2008, the Irish Heart Foundation national stroke helpline nurses answered almost 2,000 calls from people with worries about stroke and heart diseasein Ireland.
