Carer's Forums
The Carers Association, is embarking on a significant consultation exercise with family carers throughout Ireland.
Many family carers are feeling the brunt of cutbacks, reduced incomes and what appear to be more restrictive interpretations of income and home support eligibility criteria.
Speaking about the initiative, John Dunne, CEO of The Carers Association, says;
‘These forums will give you, the carer, an opportunity to tell us what you would like to have included in your National Carers Strategy. The meetings will also afford you an opportunity to feed into the organisation’s Strategic Plan by giving us your thoughts on how the Association can best continue to support and advocate for Ireland’s family carers.’
Meetings are open to all family carers and will take place throughout late March/April. Meetings are open to all Family Carers and will take place throughout late March/April.
