These awards will celebrate the achievements of those affected by stroke. The awards will also recognise the hard work and dedication of their families and carers.
The adjudication jury for the awards will made up of members from the Irish Heart Foundation’s Council on Stroke. The Council on Stroke is an expert group of medics and therapists that work in the area of stroke. The Council provides advice and information to the Irish Heart Foundation on issues surrounding stroke. They will receive all the nominations before the ceremony and will then meet to collectively select the winners.
We hope to have the media present to highlight the cause of stroke and to show that stroke can strike at any age. We also want to let stroke survivors and carers know that they are not alone and that there are others going through the same challenges as them.
